phone number field contact form

Hi
is there a way to add a phone number field to my contact form?
the form is created automatically and only has name and email fields. it has happend to me already that the customer enters a wrong email and i have no way to contact back.

also is there a way taht the form check the entered email validity? that would make it easier too.
