What to do with old orders?

So my website has just over 27k orders. Does this amount have any bearing on the woocommerce > order page load times? Is there a preferred way to archive them? If I delete orders does it affect the reports?
It might be nice to have a way to archive orders older than 6months, or whenever people’s warranty period is.
