    Hi,

I am working on a multilingual site with coursepress, and everything is working great so far, with the exception of the units module. I am using qtranslate x for the translations, and I am using php 5.6 and the latest releases of coursepress and wordpress. The issue I am seeing is that with the qtranslate x plugin activated, the units module will not load (it just says “Unit builder is loading…” and doesn’t complete the loading of the module). Has anyone experienced anything similar or have any suggestions on how to get it to work?

    Regards,

    Keith

    Hello @keithpocock,

I’m afraid right now CoursePress will not work with the Qtranslate (it just doesn’t support any translation plugin at the moment).

You would need to create separate courses for each language and in Qtranslate disable support for all CoursePress custom post types and then Unit builder will start to load.

    kind regards,
    Kasia

    Hi Kasia,

Thanks for checking. I did figure out that I can use the Polylang plugin and it will allow the units module to load (although I do prefer Qtranslate-x because it simplifies the content creation steps).

While I understand this is a free plugin (and I am very thankful there are plugins like this available to the community), I am a little disappointed that multilingual capabilities get overlooked by so many great plugins out there. It is a completely untapped opportunity for increasing revenues for companies like yours by opening up to other people and regions who do not speak english natively (and trust me, it can be a huge opportunity). Hopefully, it is something you will consider implementing in a future release.

Thanks again for your help. I appreciate all of the great work you are doing for the WordPress community!
