• Updated: It is a easy to use interface and I like it but it still has glitches that make me leery to rely on it. I spent weeks creating a site when all of a sudden it stopped working with my template. I had just finished editing a page, neither the template nor the program had been updated, but when I went back to the page Elementor no longer appears on it or anything with the template loaded. I eventually had to pay for a new template and start over so I could use some of the post content already created with Elementor.

Then I used one of the included page templates and got it looking perfect until I sent it to someone who uses internet explorer and it was completely screwed up images the wrong size and huge gaps in the content. I get that you guys wish IE would explode and disappear but people still use it and the content still needs to look professional when viewed with IE.

I have switched to another editor and have not had any issues. This one is defiantly easier to use but the reliability is just not there yet. If I was creating a one and one site (like for an event) then great… but for something that has to be updated and added to regularly I just don’t trust it.

    Original post-
Tried for a week to get this to work. I went through all the documentation and I did everything they said to do to get it to work. I even went as far as deleting EVERYTHING except Elementor from my WordPress account just to get it to work but could never get a template to install, a section to appear, or anything to drop in the page. Half of the time I could not even get it to load… it would just lock up on the grey screen.

I continued to get the error that “object doesn’t support property or method ‘contains’ and posted it on the support forum days go but it appears that the only people who get help are the ones who pay. Since I don’t know if the template the I want to use is compatible I do not want to pay for anything else I can not use. Plus I have no trust that if I do pay that they will actually fix the problem.

Now I would really want to scream but in a good way….IT WORKS!

Thank you for the first actual help from anyone. I switched to firefox and it worked.

Fingers crossed my template and plug-ins work.

    Thanks

    Hi @littledollcloset.

I’m glad it works for you.
Please note that the requirements for using our builder are specified in our docs:
    https://docs.elementor.com/article/38-requirements

We would appreciate if you could update your unjust 1-star rating.

    Thank You!

Why does Elementor not work fully in IE11 and what is being done to rectify this since there are hundreds of millions of IE users and IE is a common corporate standard browser?

I experience that Elementor does not load in IE11 – the page freezes with the flashing E logo.

    Thanks

@phonroyal as per the link provided by @pojosh, Elementor only supports the 3 well-known modern and “close-to” standards-compliant browsers of which IE and Edge are not

The rest of the internet just hopes IE/Edge will eventually just go away quietly without a fight.

I feel like you should adjust your review stars. I came here to find out why I shouldn’t use this plugin and it seems you have resolved your issue.
