• I have been using the wptouch plugin for awhile now and overall, I am happy with how it functions. However, I’ve noticed that since the v4.3.12 update I have not been able to access the mobile menu from the my site’s homepage using my smartphone (iPhone 7 Plus). Could someone please check what may have changed between v4.3.11 and v4.3.12 that caused this problem? I also have tried installing the latest version (currently v4.3.18) and this issue is still present.

    – Thank You

    Hey PaladinCML,

Thanks for taking the time to report this. We have received a few reports from a small percentage of users about this issue, but always have difficulty getting it to replicate in order to fix. Can you link me to the site where I can see the issue happening? We would love to finally get to the bottom of this issue!

    Regards,

    Zach

    Hi Zach,

Of course. The site that I’m using this on is https://comedyworx.com. However, I have currently rolled back the site to v4.3.11 so the menu will function. Hopefully having narrowed down the issue occurring starting at v4.3.12 may also help. If you let me know when you want to look at it, I can see about updating the wptouch plugin temporarily.

    – Thanks

NUTS. Now I’ll have to redact all of Zach’s replies.

@paladincml Zach made a mistake, please do not let anyone log into your site. Zach could get into real trouble here for that.

@oxymoron I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.

First off I’d like to thank you for your volunteer time on the forums and your contributions to the community- it is really awesome ??

I did not realize that there was a rule against asking for temporary credentials to assist users in the forums. We have only ever requested the credentials in an attempt to better serve our users. That being said, I 100% understand the reason it is not allowed. From now on I will be sure that it doesn’t happen again for any of WPtouch’s related or sister WordPress plugins, as well as any other plugin that I am a part of here on the forums.

    @paladincml

I apologize for attempting to resolve your reported issue in a way that was not allowed on the forums. I do see your ticket in our ticketing system and we will do everything we can to resolve this bug for you!

Please let me know if you have any questions!

    Regards,

I appreciate the reply, @oxymoron. I would like to know if there’s been any progress with investigating this issue that doesn’t infract upon the rules of this forum.
