4.8 version doesn’t work

Your best option for now is to roll back to V4.7 of CF7, just to get your website working again.

Do you have any CF7 extensions activated such as “conditional fields” or “multistep forms?”

4.8 seems to be causing a lot of issues for people, myself included. I may well have to look for a more reliable alternative in the near future.

I have the exact same issue. Any easy way to rollback for now, couldn’t find zip for the previous version.

I haven’t any CF7 extentions.
May I just replayce files on my server from CF7.4.7.zip without any changes in DB?

After I had replaced files form submit have started to work properly.

I’m not a proggrammer, but I think the cause of this issue in:
Added custom REST API endpoints for Ajax form submissions.
Maybe ??

Yes this also happened to me and the resolution was to rollback to CF7 4.7. Everything works perfectly fine with 4.7.

Also having an issue with 4.8. All I get is the spinning arrows after pressing submit. Rolled back to 4.7 and all works fine again.

Which of them can use REST API?

i am pretty sure that this bug is related to not properly configured mod rewrite on server.

Try rebuiding your permalinks: Go to your permalinks under settings and then turn it to none, save then back to your current settings.

Fixed this exact problem for us.

In other words its a bug in wordpress. If permalinks need to be rebuilt to fix a problem, then www.ads-software.com should rebuild them on plugin update etc.

I don’t have time to test this thoroughly, but I’ve noticed 4.8 working on sites that have mod_security disabled.

I’m experiencing the same issue on several of my sites as well. Rolling back to 4.7, However I have one website on the same server (with enabled modsecurity) and same configuration that doesn’t show this error.
