We had one visitor to our site complain they could not print. I determined that it was responding very slowly. It took 20-30 seconds for the print window to come up. Once it came up it was fine. So is something going on with your servers? High traffic?

Complaint was on Internet Explorer 11. I tried it both on current versions of Safari and Firefox on my Mac. Both slow.

I compared our production site to our development site. They aren’t quite identical setups, but on dev the plugin is responsive and the print window comes up reasonably quickly, but on production it takes well over a minute. So this to me seems like a plugin in conflict. Do you know of any plugins that would cause such a slowness? I’ll continue to troubleshoot.

Do you have the URL to a specific page we can observe the issue?

I discovered the problem. The page was trying to load an unrelated non-existent resource which delayed the loading of the javascript for PrintFriendly by about a minute. We are using W3 Total Cache and I told it to defer loading javascript. Once I fixed the CSS, everything was fine again and PrintFriendly was responsive again.
