Shorcode not complete and message recognized as spam

I have a contact form on one of the sites I maintain who’s generated shortcode is:
[contact-form-7 id=

it was fine at first:
[contact-form-7 id=”8″ title=”Send us Mail”]

and it renders just fine on the page, with the full shortcode, but when I send a message on the contact form with doesn’t send and says the message was recognized as spam.
