  • Hi Amanda,

To add a tab for a custom field:

    1) In the UPCP Settings, go to your Custom Fields tab and find out the “Field Slug”

    field-slug

    2) Then go to the “Product Page” tab make sure “Add Tabs” is selected in the Selected Layout section.

    3) Click the “Add” link, name your tab and write the field slug in the Content text box.

    add-tab

After clicking the “Save Tabs” button, the new tab should appear on the product page.

    **********

To remove the “Material:…” text from the product catalogue and details pages, edit the Material custom field, set “Display?” to None and “Display in Tabbed Layout?” to No.

Thank you! I think i figured it out. I’ve been using woocommerce for about a year and am now updating my website and so far like this plugin. However I have over 1000 product so before I edit them, is there a way to preview this before I save or edit more items?

    Hi Amanda,

There isn’t a ‘preview’ option per se, but I’d suggest adding the custom field tab (with the steps I mentioned before). Then edit a product / add material info…etc and after saving, view that specific product to see if you like how it looks.

If you decide you don’t want the extra tab, you can easily get rid of it by going back to the “Product Page” tab and clicking the Delete link next to the Tab Name.
