Differences on the home page when using Baskerville 2 and post types (again)

  • A while ago I posted about an issue with Baskerville 2 on a self-hosted site – there are some issues with different types of post on the home page.
    1. Paragraph breaks aren’t displayed in the excerpts shown on the home page.
    2. A video post no longer shows the video, it just shows the video’s URL.
    3. A quote post isn’t displaying the quote – it displays the text excerpt.
    4. A gallery post doesn’t display the text excerpt, just the gallery images.

    I set up a test site hosted on www.ads-software.com, and replicated the posts that were causing the issue on the self-hosted site. On the www.ads-software.com site there’s no issue, everything displays fine… so it seems to be Baskerville 2 on a self-hosted site that’s the problem.

    There’s an option under “Customize” called “Content Options”. Choose “Full post”. Almost all of your points will be corrected with this adjustment.

    About video posts, I think it has been removed. As I noticed on the theme’s live demo, you’ll need to use normal post and use the “more” tag.

    Thanks… unfortunately setting to Full Post isn’t an option, I don’t want the site to display full posts, and it would take me forever to go through and add More tags.

    The video post doesn’t work, even with a More tag and set to a normal post.

    As I said, this theme works fine on www.ads-software.com sites, so the issues are seen when it’s self-hosted.
