    Hi

I have updated your plugin from Version 0.6.61 to 0.6.62, and noticed the adaptive cache folder is no longer generating images. Before the update, it worked excellently.

I believe the issue is with your “Bug fix when the wp-content and/or uploads directories have been renamed.”

Note I used a custom uploads path i.e. /assets instead of /wp-content/uploads, and use the envato plugin hide my wordpress to rename the path even though the images are actually located at /wp-content/uploads

As mention, your plugin worked excellently with version 0.6.61. This problem is with the latest update.

Note if I simply ftp the old plugin version, the images start generating back again.

Please assist how to resolve this.

    Thanks

    Hello, my friend,

Thank you for pointing this out to us. Have you tried saving your plugin settings once again after the update? Also, is it possible for you to send me the url of your web page, so that I can test it for myself.

We ‘ll get to the bottom of this, don’t worry!

    Cheers,
    Takis

    Hi Nevma,

Thanks for your prompt update. Yes, I have tried saving the plugin setting, and it still the same issue. Note if I simply ftp the old plugin version, the images start generating back again.

I have sent you email on the link and its password wall on our test server. Let me know if you got it.

    Thank you.

    Hello @sheenas,

Just writing a small report here for everyone to see, after we discussed the issue via email.

So the issue was that the website was using a security plugin “Hide My WP” which had a feature in order to hide the /wp-content/uploads folder by renaming it in the .htaccess file. Unfortunately, there was no apparent way that the Adaptive Images plugin could correlate the image requests with the new path to the actual path in the server, so it failed.

We concluded that one way that this could be solved in the future is to provide a special define in the theme functions.php file which could inform the Adaptive Images plugin that such rewrite exists and what exactly its value is. However for the time being the website administrator chose to stop hiding the /wp-content/uploads folder, as this kind of security measure is not really a very critical one.

Thank you very much @sheenas for the cooperation on this!

Anyone else who might have any similar issues, please feel free to inform us!

    Cheers,
    Takis
