    Hi Tobias,

I love this plugin and very much appreciate the personal attention you give us here in this forum.

After searching 30 plus pages here for a resolution to my issue, I thought I would just inquire with you for a solution.

I have a data table with a list of over 1,000 items arranged into 25 categories. I currently ask visitors to my site to search the table by inserting the category title into the search field in order to filter based upon that specific category.

I was thinking it would be easier if I listed each category title and visitors could just click on the listed category title, and the link would take them to the page where my data table exist, and the table would automatically be filtered based upon the category title selected by the visitor.

Is this possible, and if so, can you advise?

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

Your best chance for something like this probably is the TablePress Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/datatables-columnfilterwidgets/

If your categories are in a table column, this could get you a dropdown from which the visitor could select a category to filter the table.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Thanks for the suggestion. I will get the extension, as it seems to be the best option to resolve this issue. Greatly appreciate your prompt reply as well.
