Word Document corrupts when uploaded

Hi, I have installed the plugin BuddyDrive. The pdfs & csvs work but if I upload a word doc and then try and open it, it is corrupted. I have identified that it is my theme (Air Balloon Lite) doing this but have no idea how to fix this? Are you able to help at all? – thanks
