Testing your plugin

  • Hi, I was testing your plugin on https://www.blackjackreview.com/wp/ for possible use. I don’t think I will be able to use it. Couple of issues. I have a secure site and when I use your plugin users will see a broken lock on every page because of the non-https image loading.

    In SGW_Widget.class.php

    $format = ‘‘;

    I believe the img above should be https but the Amazon site it points to is configured incorrectly.

    Feature requests I am looking for:
    1) Short code to place anywhere on a page to display an Amazon image
    2) Random Amazon images on every page

    Good call-out. We’ll get the calls to Amazon updated to use https.

    The plugin is intended to be used as widget in the side-bar. Short-code parsing within POST content is not something we plan to do (checkout other Amazon plugins if you need that functionality).

    Can you explain further what you want with “Random Amazon image on every page”? What do you see as the “source” of those products? The top sellers on Amazon? A list that you provide? Something other? We’ve been looking to make the plugin more “automatic” for users who don’t have a specific list of products they want to promote – but knowing what you’re looking for will help us better refine the requirement.
