• Ok, so I attempted to install Multisite. I then decided to uninstall it shortly after. I now cannot access my WP-Admin/Dashboard with my Admin/Keymaster Account. It shows the “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.” error.

I’ve read various support forums on this issue, and from what I understand, it is a database problem. I’ve attempted to change the table prefixes in the database via phpmyadmin to the prefix that is listed in the wp-config file, as most forums have suggested. I’ve also dropped the necessary tables from the database that came along with multisites. No luck. I’ve also tried disabling all the plugins and changing the theme. None of these methods have worked.

I think this will take an expert to have to access my FTP Account / Database to look into what the issue could be. I’ve been advised by my hosting provider (who is currently trying to resolve this but hasn’t been that helpful/successful so far) that it is a database issue.

Any expert advise/help would be so very much appreciated. The website is ryanjbruce.com. Willing to provide any info that is necessary.

  • Try clearing your cookies (or use another browser).
Or restore a backup of the site if you have.
Also, explain exactly what steps did you take to uninstall it? Who knows what you did ??
