    I have run into a problem with the free Cyberchimps Responsive theme version 2.7.
    Screenshots below compare 2.5 with 2.7, but while I don’t have visual proof I can tell you that 2.6 was in fact okay.
    The problem relates to a header menu insertion of the language selector of the polylang plugin.
    You have the option to show language name and/or flags.
    The plugin still works properly but the graphics for the flags have lost their vertical centering and are at the top of the menu bar. I can’t see any CSS that relates, and will relate anecdotally that undoing the one difference within style.css between versions (a.blue.float) doesn’t resolve the problem; not that it should, but even so I have checked.
    The language names, being text, are okay – but we’d rather not use them.

    Meanwhile if it helps anyone else I’m guessing any other plugins that can do menu insertion might also be affected?

  • Check if you have any error logs in your webroot and have a read through them. This is most likely related to an issue with 2.7 and 2.7.1 regarding headers already sent because of a blank space in public_html/wp-content/themes/responsive/core/includes/functions-admin.php around line #109.

    Hi,

    Another issue related to headers cannot be modified has been resolved with the latest update of the theme- version 2.7.2. Can you please try once with this version and check if the menu issue still exists ?

    Thanks.

    That appears to have worked, but not before throwing this at me:

    Update Failed: .addon-count { display: inline-block; z-index: 26; margin: 1px 0 0 2px; margin-top: 1px; margin-left: 5px; padding: 0 6px; border-radius: 10px; color: #fff; background-color: #d54e21; font-size: 9px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 17px; vertical-align: top; } {“success”:true,”data”:{“update”:”theme”,”slug”:”responsive”,”newVersion”:”2.7.2″}}

    I took no remedial action, but the sane appearance is restored

    What are the implications of this, if any?

    Hi,

    This warning will not cause any kind of functionality problem in the theme. The theme will work correctly. Still, we are looking into the warning issue and fix it in the next theme update.

    Thanks.
