• Hello.
I’ve just downloaded the Donna theme and I’m trying it out. The first thing I noticed is (if I choose one-side layout) that the sidebar is very big and I’d like to narrow it but cannot see how.

Also, when I change the layout settings to two-sides, I can manage the widgets on one side, but not on the other side. I cannot see where those widgets are coming from?

    Thanks

  • To narrow sidebar – try to change “Site Width” by going to WordPress Dashboard -> Appearance -> Customize -> Donna Theme Options -> Layout Settings -> Site Width. Try to change “Site Width” to 1380. Also you can adjust paddings of sidebars by going to WordPress Dashboard -> Appearance -> Customize -> Donna Theme Options -> Layout Settings -> Padding Between Sidebars / Posts (px).

You can manage widgets of the other sidebar from WordPress Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets – > Secondary Sidebar.

I had that same problem with the Donna theme from VM Themes and thank you vp themes for the answer (above). Now I am not able to get the image slider to work?? I used the instructions on VP Themes website (https://www.vmthemes.com/image-slider-setup/) and sent a support request to them and have not heard back but the slider just wont show up https://www.changeyourlegacy.com

Any help would ge greatly appreciated.

To get image slider to work you – will need to setup your home page and assign “Image Slider” template. For example: Create new page (go to WordPress Dashboard -> Pages) and name it “Home Page”. While creating the Home Page in the “Page Attribute” -> “Template” section, select “Image Slider” from the Template drop-down list and click the “Publish” button to publish the page.

Navigate to WordPress Dashboard -> Settings -> Reading and set “Front page displays” to a “static page” -> and select “Home Page” from the “Front page” drop-down list and click the “Save Changes” button.

This method doesn’t workf for me, all I get is a ‘too many redirections’ error.
