Issue with taxonomies

I have an advanced search that was working up to version 4.7.4. I’m using two taxonomies one for the organization and one for expertise. The advanced search seems not to work with taxonomies at all. I reverted back the plugin back until I found a version that worked. Both of the Taxonomies use drop down lists, the fields are available when building the form. The main difference is the search mode is limited to normal on the taxonomies fields, while the older version the search mode was form based and set to contains. I’m using the latest version of the twenty twelve theme with a child theme. Thanks for any help
