    Hi

Nice plugin which is exceedingly useful (I’m using the latest version)

However, it does seem a bit unreliable. I get it set up and pull down a list of references. I come back the next day and nothing! In the meantime nothing has changed as far as I know.

As to fixing this, nothing seems to to work consistently. Clearing every cache in sight, deleting/renewing/refreshing tokens etc. All these things work to revive the connection to the database but different actions at different times. I am using a basic shortcode with no CSL, just the folder id and a sort order.

I wonder if there is any advice you have that might help me improve the reliability of the connection with Mendeley?

I got so frustrated with this that I tried Zotero. There is a similar WP plugin for that and it works like a dream. However, I have come back to Mendeley because Zotero is not so good with its desktop application. But I remain frustrated by the flakey connection (though I realise that this could be Mendeley rather than this plugin).

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Sorry, but I do not know how to make the connection to Mendeley more reliable yet. If you find a solution, I would be very happy to include the patch in the source code of the plugin.

OK thanks for the update. It isn’t crucial that I generate bibliographies on the fly so I can manage this.

One workaround might be to have an option (e.g. a shortcode parameter) that sent the output to a text file. That way I could do snapshots of my Mendeley biblios.
