How to previous_post on main index?

  • My blog’s main index shows only that day’s post. I need to PERMALINK TO YESTERDAY’S POST from inside the main index.

    previous_posts just won’t do, because that will screw up with the permalinks, and previous_post_link only seems to work inside a single post

    any thoughts on how I could do that appreciated!
