• I created a couple of registration forms which assign the users a wordpress role that is different from the default. For example, one sign-up page will assign the new users to be “shop managers” and another sign-up page assigns the new users to be “customers.” I love the feature, but in practice EVERY user is still being assigned the DEFAULT wordpress role as well! On my site, the default role is “subscriber” which means that every new shop manager is assigned the roles “shop manager” AND “subscriber.” Likewise the same applies for the customers.

Is there any way to fix this? Thank you very much.

(P.S. the plugin is top notch! I’m sure I’ll end up buying some extensions as I work with it further).

I noticed this same behavior, don’t know exactly since when this has started.
I let users choose an account type during registration using a select box.
This worked perfectly. Since a couple of weeks I noticed my users get 2 wordpress roles.

Perhaps an update to WordPress and/or UltimateMember caused this.

Thanks for the response. I’m glad to hear that I’m not the only one.
