    Hi there,

I really like this plugin. You have made it very simple to use. The only issue I’m having is when testing the coupon, when clicking on it, instead of taking me to the linked coupon url, a new window opens, with the linked coupon url I added plus my website url. The coupon url is added to the end of my website url, so I get a 404 error on my own site. Example:

    https://www.mywebsite.com/mywebsitepage/www.couponlinkurl.com

Is there something I can do to correct this?

    Thank you! ??

    Hi JazzyB,

Glad to know you liked the plugin.

Are you talking about the coupon preview or the shortcode when you put it in any posts? If possible I would like to take a look at any of your page where you have the coupon shortcode.

That way I can help you to correct this.

    Regards.

    Hi there,

I put the shortcode on a new blank page. Then I go to that page. The coupon looks good then I click to get the deal. Another window opens but instead of going to the linked website that I added in the coupon, it goes to a 404 page on my website.

The url for the 404 page shows the linked url that I added in the coupon, on the end of the url of the page where the coupon is located. So there are 2 urls. For example, if my site was yahoo, it looks like this

    https://www.yahoo.com/discounts/www.bluehost.com/track/tackid

It’s hard to explain, haha! I would be happy to link the page but the site isn’t live yet. (Could that be the problem?) Please let me know what I can do to help!

    Thank you so much! ??

    Hi JazzyB,

That could be the problem. But then again, I have used the plugin on my local installs and it worked perfectly. So, I can’t be sure.

It would be helpful if I could see the shortcode live. I can’t really think of anything without looking at it. I’m sorry about that.

May be we can see if it works when your site is live. If it doesn’t work then, we can definitely come up with some other solution.

    Regards.

    Hi!

No need to apologize. I understand you can only do so much and I do appreciate you trying!

I tried it live and it is still doing it. So I have published the page so you can see it live:

    https://www.thewebhostingguide.net/coupon-codes-discounts/

    Hope this helps!

    Thank you! ??

    Hey,

I think I have figured it out.

Add https:// or https:// before your affiliate link.
When you don’t put that, link becomes https://www.thewebhostingguide.net/coupon-codes-discounts/www.bluehost.com/track/twhg/

But when I try it with https:// it worked. Try this and let me know if it works.

    Regards.
