• Hiya,

I love the media gallery functionality in WordPress, and use it quite extensively on my site. For example:

However, one concern I have is that as this is a ‘one gallery for all’ type gallery, it’s eventually going to get quite big — possibly dozens upon dozens of images.

Loading them all at once wouldn’t be good for bandwidth on both sides of the equation. Plus, it makes the page a bit unwieldy.

It’d be fantastic if the galleries could be set to use multiple pages, automatically including pagination unless the user specifies where the pagination should go themselves (as they can now with regular pages), in which case that’d take precedence.

This would bolster the gallery functionality significantly IMO, allowing sites with large image galleries to use it.

PS: If there’s already a way to do this, call me silly and let me know please. ?? Or alternatively if there’s some workaround I could use in the meantime…
