Panels and Templates Don’t Get Along

  • I’m no expert in WordPress, so I can’t really give an opinion on how goor, or not, is the Twenty Seventeen theme. However, I know enough to see that its fron page will not display any custom template, even if you use front-page.php as its basis. It’s a shame that one of WP best features (templates) are ignored by 2017, when it comes to its front page.

  • You need to set up your templates in the child theme. There are no other pages available in the plain Twenty Seventeen theme.

    Thanks for your response, stilman. In fact, I’m working with a child theme. The problem is I can’t load my templates in “front-page.php”. Take care!
