Wondering what I need to check because when someone tries to sign-up for membership, they have to register an account, it seems like nothing happens for the end user.

The user is created in WordPress backend, but the page just reloads, so the person is just there looking at the register account form again, rather than to fill out payment information to complete membership signup.

    Any ideas?

    Hello @calimeraweb,

I’m sorry this is not working as expected on your side.

They should be able to first select membership, then register and after that payment form should show.
If that is not happening we probably have conflict. This can be a conflict with another plugin or theme.
Please check with all other plugins disable and on default WordPress theme. If that will work then switch back to your theme and start switching plugins back until it will be broken again.
This should tell us what was culprit.

    kind regards,
    Kasia

I’ve tried deactivating all plugins and adding back one at time, but it seems to happen intermittently, maybe it’s a cache issue? after registering account, often it just refreshes to the blank form again instead of the next step of the process…

Also, I noticed that in using the shortcode [ms-membership-login] in my sidebar to give members a place to easily login, I noticed that if you are logged in it doesn’t pull the username properly. It’s just blank…

    Hi @calimeraweb,

Could you share your site URL so we can see this in action and perform couple of tests there?

    Cheers,

Sure – if you go here https://www.happyprintclub.com/membership-information/

Click on the giant “Sign-me up” button and when you go through as a new user to Sign-up for membership, it asks to create a new account and when I create a new user, it just reloads the form and see it blank again even though it’s trying to link to https://www.happyprintclub.com/register-2/?step=payment_table&membership_id=1467

The user is created in the backend, but it doesn’t automatically sign-in the new user and push them to the next step for payment. So basically losing all the people signing up.

Instead I get a lot of spam sign-ups!

    Hi @calimeraweb,

Thanks for the URL, I had a look at your site and there’s a console error on page load and it repeats again after I submit my details, this is probably preventing M2 from continuing with signup process.

I see that you already tried disabling your plugins but that didn’t made any difference, could you also try with default WP theme active so we can see if it’s related to that?

    Cheers,
    Predrag

Hi Predrag – Thank you for your help. The site is live with users, so I can’t readily switch around the theme at any time.

Where can I see the error details? Maybe I can ask the theme developers for help?

    Hello @calimeraweb,

You can see error in browser console:

This is part of script that “sticks” to Membership form. I checked my site and that script is not showing on it, so or this is another plugin or theme adding this.
Yes, asking theme developers if that script is part of the theme would be option here. Let us know what will they say.

    kind regards,
