Call to undefined function error

    I am getting this error a couple times per day on all of my sites. I have tried removing plugins etc and all other measures to fix.

    Call to undefined function wp_generate_password() in /home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/xxxxxxxx/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 186

    That is a WordPress core function.

    It’s defined within WordPress and you should not have encountered that error.

    I do not know what’s the cause of your issue, but perhaps it could be resolved just by re-installing your WordPress in your WordPress admin, via Dashboard -> Updates.

    If you are using any cache plugin or server cache, you will need to clear your cache content.
