FB says to use SDK for better experience

    Followed the instructions to the letter setting up FB application…

    On FB social login it’s all “jittery” as it opens dialog box taking over the whole screen and has this message at the bottom.

    You are using a display type of ‘popup’ in a large browser window or tab. For a better user experience, show this dialog with our JavaScript SDK without specifying an explicit display type. The SDK will choose the best display type for each environment. Alternatively, set height and width on your window.open() call to properly size this dialog if you have special requirements precluding you from using the SDK. This message is only visible to developers of your application.

    How can I correct this?

    To keep the social login window size consistent for all the social networks, we have specified the size of window. This is nothing to worry about. This message will be displayed only to the developers and admins of the FB app.

    I understand that because I also know how to read. But it opens up and takes up the whole screen, isn’t fluid and smooth and looks like crap.

    So, how do you make it so that it opens properly?

    Sorry, we cannot control this message being displayed. Official Facebook SDK script detects the size of popup window and displays the message. You don’t have to look at this popup window forever. It is just there to ask the username and password of your Facebook account.

    So, how do you make it so that it opens properly?

    We will consider the possibilities and will improve it in upcoming releases.
