when selecting a custom sidebar in a page/post and publish the page, it will work as expected in the frontend.
When going back to the page in the backend and want to check which custom sidebar is selected, it’s not displayed.
Also in the “custom sidebar” column of in the page overview, nothing is displayed (there was already a topic open in this forum for this issue).

I have latest version 3.0.9 installed.

  • Hello @parabl1,

I’m testing this on my installation and I can’t replicate issue. Sidebars for posts are showing in admin columns and on second page editing.

Can you first make sure that this is not conflict with another plugin or with theme? You would need to disable all other plugins and see if the issues still occurs, if not, then start enabling them one by another until it will be broken again.

    kind regards,
    Kasia

    Hi Kasia,
    thanks for the information.
It looks like Jetpack is the bad guy.
After deactivating Jetpack, everything looks fine.
But as soon as I activate Jetpack (even if all settings turned off) and connect it with wordpress.com the problem appears.

    Can you replicate this behaviour?

    Hi

I’m having the same problem as @parabl1 with Jetpack…

The latest version 3.0.9 and Jetpack Version 5.1 have been installed.

    Kind regards

    Hello @parabl1 and @coachie,

Thank you for running the test. I was able to replicate issue with JetPack on my site, so in this case I can report this to our developer.
They will investigate this issue and check if this is something that can be fixed on our side. I will let you know about results of investigation.

    kind regards,
    Kasia

    Thank you! problem solved!

@wpmudev-support2 can you tell me when a fix has been made?

@wpmudev-support2 good to hear that you solved the problem!
When can we expect the plugin being updated?

    Hey guys,

We don’t don’t have any ETA yet but the issue is on plugin to-do list so we’re hoping to see fix released soon.

    Cheers,
    Predrag

    Hi @wpmudev-support2,

    Thanks for your reply.
Can we somehow temporary fix it by changing/adding some code…?

    Cheers Hans

    Hi Hans,

At this moment we don’t have a working fix but I can see in bug report that devs are checking it out and it seems to be specific only to some installations so they are still figuring out what exactly would be a best way to go with a patch for this.

    Cheers,
    Predrag

That’s great! If it helps, I am using an automated install of WordPress through Hostmonster into as a subdomain.
