• I’m finding on the latest version of Yoast Breadcrumbs (0.7.2) that there are two separators between Home and the post title when I have opted to not show the category before the post name.

When I look in the code I see that there is a display:hidden url in between the separators.

  • hmm there is no display:hidden thing in the code, but i’ll look into the double separator…

Which breadcrumbs plugin are you using? I’ve got a hunch it’s not my own Yoast Breadcrumbs, am I right? I’ve just tested what you said on my own blog, and it works as it should there.

If you are using that plugin, please leave the URL of your blog so I can check out what’s going wrong. If you’re not, well, maybe it’s about time ??

Thanks very much for your replies. I am however definitely using Yoast Breadcrumbs 0.7.2.

The problem is on a category page on a test website (I’ll send you a URL through your contact form as I don’t want it published publicly at the moment) and when I look at the code using Firebug I find an incomplete anchor tag in between the two separators (sorry I was incorrect about the display:none) of the first post in the list of posts for that category.

Ok, I’ve seen the URL. Is this category a subcategory?

Thanks for getting back so quickly. No it’s not a subcategory.

By the way it worked fine in 0.6.2.

    Ok I’ll dive deeper.

I’m having the same issue. Here is the html the plugin is generating:

    <div class="breadcrumb"><a href="/home">Home</a> > <a href="/POST URL/"></a> > <a href="/topics/">Topics</a> > <strong>POST TITLE</strong></div>

So it’s generating a link to the current post, but not including the title. And it shouldn’t be doing this at all.

Other than this odd bug, it’s a great plugin and is helping me a lot.

wprabbit: do you have a url where I can find this behavior? I can’t seem to reproduce the error…

I am getting this error as well. You can see it at https://www.a-doughty.com/my-portfolio/
    Any help is appreciated!

Can all of you post a screenshot of their settings screen? or email it to me at joost . yoast @ com ?

A screenshot has been sent to you. Thanks for the help.
