• I am a newbie. I have a site that has “Inspired by” followed by someone’s name at the bottom of each page. I just want to remove this. In the dashboard editor I have managed to find the footer.php code as well as some footer properties for the theme but I can’t seem to find “Inspired By” anywhere. Please provide some guidance.

To find if it’s coming from a plugin, try deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).

If that does not help, you may want to post it at the theme’s support forum. What theme are you using? Downloaded from?

    Hi,

Themes can have different code structure, it’s not necessary to follow structure of any default WordPress theme. You will need help from someone familiar with your theme.

Please post your support request in your theme’s support forum. The theme author and it’s user community should be able to help you locate the text you mentioned.

    Thank you.

Thank you. I was able to remove the person’s name by following the instructions in an FAQ on the theme’s website. I didn’t know themes had websites. Apparently, this theme is not free, although I don’t remember paying for it.

There still are a link to WordPress and a link to the theme at the bottom of my webpage. Is it possible to get rid of these without using a new theme?

    Hi,

Apparently, this theme is not free

You will need to contact your premium theme’s support for further assistance.

    Thank you
