• Hello,

I’m working with Easy Digital Downloads and their extension Restricted Content. The set up is, if somone purchases a product through EDD’s storefront, they gain access to pages. When they look at their purchase receipt page, they see links with pages they’ve gained access to.

The problem is, along with the pages I’ve configured, two other links appear: “widget_image” and “sidebars_widgets”. After a google search I found this thread in these forums from about a week ago: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/jetpack_migration-widget_image-flooding-my-activity-log-2/

I followed the instructions in that thread to turn off those widgets, turned on debug, and I’m working with the host to add that code to the config file. The issue persists and the error log is empty.

I’m not sure which plugin is at fault (maybe shared) but I’m hoping someone can share some insight into what’s happening.

    Thanks in advance!
    Emma

On the weird off-chance that someone else with this same issue will come across this, I couldn’t figure out a way to remove the links. Removing Jetpack completely didn’t fix it even. I ended up just hiding the links with CSS (using the attribute selector href). I wish I had found the source of the problem, but a work around is better than nothing.

Hi @emmaee – Sorry about the delay in writing back to you. Can you show me what the links look like when viewing the receipt? Unfortunately I don’t have access to the EDD products to try replicate the issue.

    No worries!

After I posted that last message, I actually discovered it was happening in the emails too. This link will take you to a CloudApp screenshot of the email: https://cl.ly/1Y3i1x0N3s09

After I turned off the two widgets, it looks like all new products that are created don’t have this in the receipt and email. But the ones that were created while they were active still have it.

I tried reproducing the issue locally, but didn’t have any luck… I’d like to dig around in EDD’s code to see what exactly is happening, but I wanted to get it locally so it was easier to test. I’ll keep you posted if I find anything!
