    Hi,

I’m getting the above error as the last item in the list. It looks like it’s completed, but the staging site won’t load – the login page just tries to load forever.

    Please advise.

    Thanks.

Looks like a permission issue. The wp-config.php has not been written to the subfolder of the staging site.

Make sure that all folders have 755 and files 644 and that they belong to the user php is running at, usually www-data

@bloomingdigital if this does not resolve the issue send me an email to support (at) wp-staging.com

    Hi,

I get the same error message. The cloning job says it is successful but the only files that are copied in to the new directory are htaccess and user.ini. Therefore, when I click on the link to the staging site I get a 404.

I have been trying to sort the permissions but still have not got it working. I am using IIS – how do I set these permissions as advised above? I’ve given full access to IUSR and IIS_IUSRS.

Please enable debug log in wpstg settings. Than run again cloning and send me the log file to support (at) wp-staging.com.

You find the log file in wp-content/wp-staging/logs

    Hey Guys,

I am wondering what the outcome of this was as I am also getting this Error when i create the staging site or if I re-sync the clone.

All files move over fine, And the permissions on folders are 755 and the files are 644

If I edit the file manually after and change the Table_prefix value in the staging version then it works flawlessly.

    Hi,

the owner of the file wp-config.php must be the same as the user php is running under. Usually this is www-data or similar

Is there a way to see what user the PHP is running as? I tried to CHown the file but it doesn’t recognize any of the users I try to switch it to.

My host is Linux with Cpanel.
