Unable to edit after WordPress 4.8.1

    Just upgraded to WP 4.8.1 today. Tried to edit an entry in database but all I get is a blank NAME field. The VISUAL option is empty but occasionally the TEXT option shows the text. But if I click back and forth between VISUAL and TEXT they both go blank. Also, I can’t type in either field.

    I haven’t tried to add any new entries until I hear back from the developer. I don’t won’t to break anything.

    HELP……

    Looks like there is a conflict with Jetpack. I deactivated Jetpack and was able to edit an entry in the “This Day in History” database. As soon as I re-enabled Jetpack, editing was not possible in TDIH.

    This didn’t manifest itself until the WordPress 4.8.1 upgrade.

    If I roll-back Jetpack to version 5.1 the editing screens for TDIH work again.

    Jetpack is currently at 5.2.1.
    I rolled back to 5.2 – same problem.
    I rolled back to 5.1 – problem fixed.

    This has been reported to Jetpack.

    I use the tinymce-widgets plugin. Looks like this may be the culprit.

    I’m marking this issue as resolved since it isn’t actually an issue with TDIH but a bug with Jetpack.
