• I have upgraded wordpress 2.5.1 to 2.7 but I’m getting problem to view the visual look while creating or editing any post. The tabs “Visual” and “HTML” doesn’t works properly. Browser show a javascript error (Most probably in editor’s js script). Can you please anyone help me how to overcome this problem.

    Thanks for co-operating with me. Yes. I have tried in FireFox and IE but problem is same in both. Do you have any idea how I can resolve this issue?

    Have you tried to reinstall WP? (From the Dashboard go to Tools and the upgrade – from there you can do a reinstall)

    Hi. I am encountering exactly the same problem. I’ve tried to do an ‘automatic reinstall’ through the dashboard, but i get a message saying ‘latest version is already installed.’ Then i noticed my dashboard page is returning a lot of errors too…the first is this:

    Error: uncaught exception: [Exception… “Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIStringBundle.GetStringFromName]” nsresult: “0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)” location: “JS frame :: XStringBundle :: getString :: line 17” data: no]

    One thing to note – I had this site on a windows server and then moved it to a linux server…. it was working before, and now is not. This might well have something to do with it. Im not very technical at all, so I’m not sure. Help is very much appreciated.

    Most of peoples are getting same this errors (Visual look issue). Is it a really problem with wordpress 2.7?

    Hi Sujit, which other people are getting this problem? I spent a few minutes looking through the forum, and your’s is the only post I found.

    Sujit have you tried the reinstall?

    Scmeiki – It really sounds like you have a corrupt install. You could try to reinstall manually!

    Yes. I have tried manually. I have follow the steps from codex.wordpress to upgrade. Anyway can please look at my issue how it can be resolve if you guys have idea.

    It could be a problem with your host. Maybe you can try to create a account here https://www.zymic.com/free-web-hosting/ to get free webhosting and make a demo site there. That would be the easiest way to check if it is the host.

    sujit as you have done a reinstall and it didn’t work, i’ll take your advice madsk and try out if it works on zymic…. i’ll try a clean new install first, and if that works, will try my site files, and see if it still works…. blummin ‘eck, this does seem like a lot of work.

    Yes it does. This is the last solution you should use as it takes time, but its the easiest way at that point to see if it is host problem.

    i’m still trying to get it to work in zymic…..grrr.

    meanwhile, i was onto the support section of my host ixwebhosting.com, and they kindly logged on to my site for me, and what’s weird is that they dont get any errors, and it works fine for them.

    i just don’t understand.

    anyone can help?
