• Nothing serious, I’m just a little suprised. Passing both Bad Behavior and JS Spamblock (and without landing in the comment queue like a real comment did), I had two spam comments on my website. Actually, these are my first in a very long time.

I think this is not very useful as Buytur said.

I noticed them since they were under a very old post that I upgraded to WP 2.2.1 (a couple of centuries ago). Both have just one line in which one word is linked to some Russian-like written blogspot, one of which seems to be a spam site, about the other I’m not sure, but I suspose it is too. I don’t like the idea that they tricked BB and JS Spamblock, but as long as no other come through… But perhaps collectors of IPs to block didn’t have these two.

  • I use BB also – very occasionally something would get in
since installing “cookies for comments” – nothing has gotten through

Hm got another one. Another strange thing is that I don’t get an email notification for these comments, I just happen to see them on my dashboard. I deleted the post where they comment on just to see if they also manage to spam other posts.

Never heard of that plugin of Donncha, I might try it when I get more spam. Thanks for the tip.

Are they putting the *** in the link or are you?

I did, the forum has no-follows, but Google shouldn’t index any spamlinks from this forum, do you think?
Anyway, with that one post gone, no more spam. Strange…
