    Hello.
I installed this plugin today and everything was working good until I restarted my computer and tried to log in again. Firstly it asked me for a password which I found weird. When I logged in the plugin was not active any longer. So I had to install it again and when I looked into the Keey menu everything was OK.
So I logged out and tried to log in again… WRONG! It does NOT work anymore.
Now I am blocked from my WP account despite requesting several revalidation emails (which never come).
Could anybody please help me to fix this?
    Thank you in advance.

  • Hi,

Could you tell me what app your using e.g (Android or iOS)

Could you also tell me the version of the app that you are using?

Next could you on your login page press the “Switch to QR code” link and then scan that, does it log you in? if not what error/messages are displayed in app?

    Best Wishes,

    Ashley

    Hi,

    IOS. Version 1.2.7.

I did what you suggested but it did not work.

I managed to access the keyy website and removed my website from ‘managing sites’ but I am still blocked.

I can’t access the plugins via the WP app either. I am totally stuck.

    Any other tips?

    Thank you!

    Hello again.

Now the error message that I get when trying to log in says that I don’t have the website connected to the app. Most likely because I deleted it on my account keyy.

    What should I do now?

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi,

Can you use the “report a problem” feature in the settings this will send the log files over so I can take a look at whats going on.

Removing your site from getkeyy.com won’t help and will just remove the site from the site list in the app (Your WordPress site will still be connected and require a scan to login)

While I investigate whats going on you can add the following line to your wp-config.php file and it will disable Keyy

    define(‘KEYY_DISABLE’, true);

Or you could FTP into your server and remove the Keyy folder from your wp-content/plugins folder

There is also a special one time use URL in the Keyy settings backend that will allow you to login via a usernmae and password, I’m assuming you didn’t take note of this but thought I would mention it for future reference.

    Best Wishes,

I have sent the report now.

To be honest I don’t know how to use that config.php file.

Could you tell me how to use that one time URL in the backend? You mean in the app or on the keyy website?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

I got the report and followed up there.

You can only see the URL in the Keyy settings in the backend (Your WordPress website backend) if you haven’t taken note of it then you won’t be able to get at it while logged out.

Do you have FTP access? or is the site on your local machine?

All you have to do is open the wp-config.php file

    Then add the line:
    define(‘KEYY_DISABLE’, true);

Anywhere in the file and save it.

    Best Wishes,

    Ashley

    Hi,

The site is on my local machine.

I am totally logged out. No pages left where I am in the administration WP page.

I don’t have FTP access. I don’t know how to work with it.

Is there anyway you can do the FTP thing for me?

    Thank you.

I will mark this as resolved unless you have any other issues?

For those that see this the issue was a maintenance plugin had disabled the REST API.

    Best Wishes,

    Ashley

I can’t login as well. I used the same User/PW for the online wordpress.com and it asks me for the Verification Code (that texts to me)… I enter it, then it just goes back to the login page repeatedly?
