  • Hi,

Are you on a multisite? Is this the first time you install the plugin or are you unable to update from the last week’s version? We are not aware of any update issues. Please get in touch with us directly so that we could take a closer look at your site.

    Regards,
    MailPoet Team.

Hello! I have been trying to install mailpoet 3 for 2 months on and off now. It just does not work. Error message: Installation failed. Directory already exists. This messages shows up even when I rename the old mailpoet 2 folders in the plugin directory. I have the newest WP-version. Can I also get in touch with you directly? Thank you in advance, Saskia

Trying to install MailPoet 3. MailPoet2 online and working. Install fails saying mailpoet directory already exists
    /home/cpeadmin/allinoneboat/wp-content/plugins/mailpoet/

Only one mailpoet directory, don’t want to delete as I assume MailPoet2 resides there.

    What to do?

The installer does not cleanup the directory when it fails, nor does it overwrite (after asking permission) when it finds it already exists. Before you can retry installing, you need to manually delete the directory mailpoet in /wp-content/plugins/ using a FTP program or a file manager service if your hosting provider has one. Don’t worry, you will not delete your MailPoet 2 environment, this is in a directory called wysija-newsletters.
