BEWARE. Only for building brand-new them data arch from a few pre-approved theme

  • I have had to disable the TOOLSET layout plugin which completely all CSS rendering anywhere on my site. Furthermore having had to disable the plugins and re-enable them again it just so happened that in the couple days in between the plugins had been upgraded. Unfortunaly because the TOOLSET’s framework plugin had not been upgraded I was advised that if I wanted any demo content I would have to revert to a previous version of one of their other plugins. The only way this could be achieved however would be to kil all content, themes , plugins from my site and completely set wordpress back yto its virgin state. This plugin is NO GOOD unless:
    You are going to build a theme from it using one of their approved themes. It’s useless to install in WIP sites.

    What the point of supplying demo data is like an EXTREME version of a theme with DEMO content. Now the concept of Toolset is potentially powerful because its one of the few plugins that provide a seamless single app to do all your custom data types and templates. Although having read the documentation I am none the wiser about whether to use wp-views or layout. You don’t even provide a proper customer support system. The even make you install a Duplicator plugin and give the full path to it before you can enter a support forum ticket – presumably to savce them time if they need to make e copy.

    This is the second time I have had to create this Forum post and it wont surprise me if it ever gets looked at at all. However, if you can resolve this issue with the layouts plugin within 24 hours I will TRY and work with is… I don’t really need your reference site demo data… at least I hope it will be self-explanatory without it. Meanwhile, I have another virgin WP site called shift.live which I could install Toolset on to play around with EXCEPT I suspect their ridiculous multi-use registration measures will prevent me.

    This Forum here and the Plugin downloadable here is the Types Plugin.

    Toolset Layouts is another plugin and part of a paid set of tools, which come from the same developer as Types.

    To use Types, it is not required to use the rest of Toolset, if you are versed in displaying your Data using PHP.

    Types does not create Sample Content.

    This happens only in particular circumstances when you use the Full Toolset, which we cannot support here.

    Also, this is an action that is done only when the Admin notice is accepted, to create the sample content.

    I am not sure why you have been asked to reset your site. Eventually, you refer to the Framework Installer, once more a Paid add-on of Toolset, not related to this Types forum.

    It is not true that we do not accept Support without Duplicator.
    You can just not submit one; you do not even have to provide access data

    Those are features we added to make it easier for the user, as often we have been asked to let the user submit access data starting on the first question asked.
