Problems with easy fancybox and vertex theme

    I’m trying to deactivate easy fancybox pluging, but after that the main menu of my site does not works (only first level items are shown)
    I’ve read in easy fancybox documentation the following: ”
    Older versions of Elegant Themes have FancyBox integrated in a hard-coded way, making them incompatible with Easy FancyBox. In the latest versions of these themes, there is an option to disable the included FancyBox. Use this option to make your theme compatible with Easy FancyBox”
    Eleganthemes support told me: “The Vertex theme doesn’t use Fancybox script, it uses Magnific Popup Js library: https://dimsemenov.com/plugins/magnific-popup/ I’m afraid that cannot be disabled without breaking the theme functionality.”

    How do I do to deactivate easy fancybox plugin with no secondary effects
    (i have the latest versions of wp, vertex theme and all the plugins installed included easy fancybox)

  • You can simply uninstall the Easy FancyBox plugin. It should not break anything like menu or anything else as it is not part of your theme nor core functionality.

    Looking at your site, the menu works fine and I see no trace of Easy FancyBox being active. But I do notice that your site source is compressed so I suspect a caching plugin being active. Make sure you clear the cache after changes like plugin de/activation.
