Gallery cover image in the album

  • Hi there,
    I’m just wondering how I could specify to choose the first photo but not the last one for the gallery cover image?

    When you edit the gallery, you can set the featured image in the metabox in the bottom right of the page

    Thanks for your answer! It seems that it doesn’t work for me.

    I set the featured image by uploading it separately and by choosing it from the library but the test gallery in the album use the last pictures as before. I’ve cleared HTML and CSS on the settings page also.

    Could you suggest me something to check or change? Is it possible that my theme interferes with FooGallery?

    Well, I’ve got exactly the same problem – I’ve selected and saved the featured image, but on the website it still shows the last image in the gallery. If I change the order, the new image that’s on the last position appears as the featured image of the gallery
    WP version v4.8.3
    Theme: Oblique v2.0.7
