Cache directory does not exist?

This plugin has been working fine for a few weeks, but after the recent update, i am getting a ton of debug printed to my wp-admin pages (i think) and the following error on the last line:

Error: Your cache directory () did not exist and couldn’t be created by the web server. Check permissions.
