    Hi guys,

    So far I’ve been enjoying UM very much, even purchased a bunch of extentions for it, because I think it beats the other membership plugins in usability.

    However, lately I recieved a bunch of complains from users who say they can’t edit their bio or the textarea I’ve used in the profile form for them to write their full profile text.

    The problem occurs with only some users, not all. Nothing with the user role, because some users of same role can edit, but others can’t.

    I followed your guide on theme/plugin conflict testing, but no help.

    I have excluded the recommended pages in my WP Super Chache plugin.

    I am so LOST here, please help me, because I have NO idea what to do anymore.

    Hi @darville,

    Have you tried to replicate this issue by creating a test user with the same user role?
    What happens when they try to edit these fields?

    Thank you for a prompt reply!

    I tried what you told me, and then it worked. But I still don’t have any idea why it does not work on my real users. I have creted a bunch of new users with different user roles – some works fine, some does not. When I add other fields to the profile form, such as birthdate, checkboxes etc., they work like a charm, but bio and textareas can’t be editid ??

    I can see in my UM dashboard under ‘User roles’ that UM has automatically duplicated one of my user roles twice, and I can’t delete the duplicated, because they too have the core built in.

    I hope you can help me futher.

    Hi @ultimatemembersupport,

    You should be able to delete duplicated user role.
    Can you please check developers console of your browser and see if there are any errors there?
