custom files not working after update

  • Hi there
    When I first installed your plugin you kindly helped me customise a few files to make the plugin suit my needs. These new files were added to a separate LDD-lite folder within WP Content in order to be ‘update safe’.

    Since the recent update it seems these files are no longer working e.g. i had customised panel-general.php to remove things like zip and state. These titles are now displaying again.

    Can you advise as to why this has happened?

    Also I have another post here that hasn’t been answered and the issues are live and public and so I would really appreciate a speedy response!

    Did you make a backup of your site before updating? I suspect you had made changes to core files or did not move customized template files to your child theme directory.

    These files were in theme folder/ldd-directory-lite/templates so not sure why they were overwritten when I updated to your latest version.

    Should this directory be update proof and therefore still work after an update?
