    Hi Tobias,

Thanks so much for great plugin. – Potentially, this can be one stop solution for all the tables including responsive table extension.

One of the biggest concern for University of Illinois library to use TablePress plugin in its wordpress content management system is the lack of web accessibility.

For example, tables created by Table press does not provide programmatically identified data table’s row or column header. (for example, US section 508 rule 10, web data tables requirement, WCAG 2.0 requirement or one example, https://html.cita.illinois.edu/nav/dtable/dtable-example-simple.php)

If web accessibility can be ensured in the tables created by TablePress, we would like to open the doors to our users to use table press plugin. I am also happy to help/give consultation if you need any.

Thanks so much for a great table plugin and I am looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I totally agree that Accessibility is important, and I’ve had it on my TODO list for quite some time now (with requests going back 3 years ago ??, see https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/section-508-compliance/ ). Unfortunately, as I’ve been very busy, I never got around to implementing something – just like I haven’t really been able to add other features lately ??
I’ll be busy for the months to come, so I’ll be more than happy to accept contributions here.

    Regards,
    Tobias
