How Can I Be Notified Of New Releases?

    I would like to be notified of new WordPress releases. However, I don’t see a mailing list or forum that only tracks new releases.

    My fear is that I’ll only be logging into the site that I administer every week or so and a new critical vulnerability will be discovered in the interim. I would love to know as soon as possible when these vulnerabilities are disclosed so I can update my site.

    How do most WordPress users keep up with new releases? Do they just get automatic notifications in their site’s admin console? Do they just hang out in the forums a lot?
