Mails not sending, wrong stock reduced

We are having trouble with this plugin. Order received/new order mails aren’t send sometimes, the only mails where this happens are from orders placed with PayPal Express Checkout. Neither the admin nor the customer reveices an E-Mail once the order has been placed (they don’t appear in an E-Mail-Log either). I activated the Debug mails, but none are send.
Plus we have two products with very similar names. They are identical for the first 70 characters. However when one was ordered, the wrong one’s stock was reduced by 1. Everything is fine in the database and WooCommerce works with IDs, so I believe this error is connected to this Plugin, too when getting back to the page and letting WooCommerce know which stock has to be reduced (probably returning the product title and only the first 70 characters as such). Not sure about this one though and the former has priority.
Alternatively: Does anyone know a PayPal Express Plugin that actually works and has some decent support?
