Protect files depending on page

Hello,

We used to upload files (pdf, jpg) on a protected page and then the files would also be protected.
But now we have to protect the files individually in the Media libraby. They’re not automatically protected when updating on a protected page.

This means a lot of work when we’re for example uploading a hidden image gallery.

Is this a changed setting after an update?
