Custom Sidebar Not Showing On Woo Product Page

    I have a standard Sidebar on the right hand side of my pages. On the Products page, I would like to either

    A. Replace the standard Sidebar on the right with a new custom sidebar or
    B. Add a sidebar on the left hand side to filter/sort/search products

    In regards to option A, I created a custom sidebar just like your tutorials explained. ‘Allow this sidebar to be replaced’ is checked on the standard sidebar. And the Sidebar is set to my new custom sidebar in the Product Page settings. Why isn’t this new sidebar showing?

    Is there a simple solution to get product page filters on the left like B. suggests?

    Which “Product Page settings” are you referring to? Can you show me screenshot of those settings? Your site is not public so I’m not able to check this closer I’m afraid.

    B. Add a sidebar on the left hand side to filter/sort/search products

    Custom Sidebars can’t create new sidebars – it can only replace existing ones. If your theme does not have left sidebar for this particular page, then Custom Sidebars can’t put there anything.
    You would need to edit template and add a left sidebar and then replace it depending on the view with Custom Sidebars.

    Hello @gbcsafetyglow,

    Shop page is special page, so you can’t use settings from the Page editing view.
    You need to select “Products Archive” in Sidebar Location from Widgets screen:
