• I am getting the error where I am getting looped to the log in page no matter what I type in – correct information, incorrect information.

I’ve deleted my cache and cookies, I’ve tried on three different machines. I’ve also re-named the “plugins” folder and still cannot log in.

I just installed it last night and everything was fine and it just stopped working.

I have WordPress on my root directory for my blog, and located on a subdomain for a friend. Like I said, it was working fine until this morning. Neither of us had done anything. I can log into mine without any problems, but she cannot log into hers.

  • I am just facing the same problem..
    Try this :
    https://johnhawkinsunrated.com/fixing-the-wordpress-login-issue
    it sometimes work.

If not – I guess there is nothing to do but re-install…
Nobody seems to know WHY this is happening or how to solve this.

I am having the same problem. Did a WordPress install (through Godaddy) into a subdomain of an existing WordPress blog. It worked fine when I set it up and I was able to customize the theme and everything. A couple of days later it stopped letting me login. I have reset the password in the database (and made it MD5) but I just get a loop of login screens, regardless of whether I type in the correct info or not.

I have the latest version of WordPress so I do not think it is the exploit described in that link.

Also, my login screen has lost all its formatting. It is an unstyled page.

I have no idea what to do about this, does anyone have any suggestions?

I forgot to mention that I have also tried renaming the plugins folder, so that does not appear to be the problem.
