• I run two similar sites, https://www.Cherie4art.com and https://sewfluffy.com , both utilize the same theme and the same plugins. After the newest update, Cherie4art Embroidery’s site crashed hard: here’s the error:

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function wp_cache_setting() in /home/jamcur15/cherie4art.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/plugins/searchengine.php:63 Stack trace: #0 /home/jamcur15/cherie4art.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/plugins/searchengine.php(5): wpsc_get_searchengine_setting() #1 /home/jamcur15/cherie4art.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/wp-cache-phase1.php(476): wp_supercache_searchengine(‘Chillinjc|15073…’) #2 /home/jamcur15/cherie4art.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/wp-cache-phase1.php(451): do_cacheaction(‘wp_cache_get_co…’, ‘Chillinjc|15073…’) #3 /home/jamcur15/cherie4art.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/wp-cache-phase1.php(51): wp_cache_get_cookies_values() #4 /home/jamcur15/cherie4art.com/wp-content/advanced-cache.php(21): include_once(‘/home/jamcur15/…’) #5 /home/jamcur15/cherie4art.com/wp-settings.php(84): include(‘/home/jamcur15/…’) #6 /home/jamcur15/cherie4art.com/wp-config.php(100): require_once(‘/home/jamcur15/…’) #7 /home/jamcur15/cherie4art.com/wp in /home/jamcur15/cherie4art.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/plugins/searchengine.php on line 63

    On the other hand, https://www.sefluffy.com did not go down, same update, identical architecture.
    So I did some digging: I’m running php 7.1 fast CGI on Cherie4art = Crashed Plugin
    Sewfluffy is running on php 7.0 Fast CGI

    this seems to be the issue as I see it, unless anyone else has an Idea?

    Rather than downgrading, for now I’m deleting the WP Super Cache Plugin, but It would be great if there was a solution in the next update; i like this cache plugin more than the alternatives.

  • Hello! I join the problem. After updating (v 1.5.6) in Mozilla and Chrom – produces such an error. Before that, there were no problems.
    WHAT TO DO?

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function apply_filters() in /home/u169557/arefyevstudiocom/www/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/wp-cache-phase1.php:199 Stack trace: #0 /home/u169557/arefyevstudiocom/www/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/wp-cache-phase1.php(399): wp_cache_serve_cache_file() #1 /home/u169557/arefyevstudiocom/www/wp-content/advanced-cache.php(20): include_once(‘/home/u169557/a…’) #2 /home/u169557/arefyevstudiocom/www/wp-settings.php(74): include(‘/home/u169557/a…’) #3 /home/u169557/arefyevstudiocom/www/wp-config.php(94): require_once(‘/home/u169557/a…’) #4 /home/u169557/arefyevstudiocom/www/wp-load.php(37): require_once(‘/home/u169557/a…’) #5 /home/u169557/arefyevstudiocom/www/wp-blog-header.php(13): require_once(‘/home/u169557/a…’) #6 /home/u169557/arefyevstudiocom/www/index.php(17): require(‘/home/u169557/a…’) #7 {main} thrown in /home/u169557/arefyevstudiocom/www/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/wp-cache-phase1.php on line 199

    Version 1.5.7 of the plugin fixes the problem if you upgrade.
